Wie sieht die Evidenz denn aus?

EMT-led laryngeal tube vs. face-mask ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation - a multicenter prospective randomized trial
Scand J Trauma Resusc Emerg Med. 2017 Oct 26;25(1):104
Conclusion: EMTs preferred LT ventilation to BVM ventilation during pre-study training, but on-site there was no difference with regard to efficacy, ventilation safety, or outcome. The results indicate that LT ventilation by EMTs during OHCA is not superior to BVM and cannot substitute for BVM training. We assume that the main benefit of the LT is the provision of an alternative airway when BVM ventilation fails. Training in BVM ventilation remains paramount in EMT apprenticeship and cannot be substituted by LT ventilation.

A comparison of the laryngeal tube and bag-valve mask ventilation by emergency medical technicians: a feasibility study in anesthetized patients
Anesth Analg. 2005 Nov;101(5):1477-81
Conclusion: Both the LT and BVM provided adequate oxygenation and ventilation.
Hmm..... das hatte ich tatsächlich nicht erwartet. In der Tat wäre meine Einschätzung gewesen, dass der LT doch leichter zu erlernen ist, als die Maskenbeatmung. Ist anscheinend aber nicht der Fall.
